Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He was a part of Glorall now, and he wasn’t sure how he felt about it. He had come here hoping to get space, and he certainly got that. His father didn’t bother him half as much as his mother did, and unlike his mother also didn’t ask him fifty questions after he came home. He could only say hunting so many times after all before she began to wonder where the remains were, what he was hunting or where he had gone. Just… away… he told her over and over again. He even got his own den thinking that would help but his mother still visited and wondered about her. She learned to stop asking questions, but he still felt like she was keeping to close an eye on him.

There was also the matter of his imprint being here as well. Matianak. He wasn’t sure what he thought about her either. Thus far since his joining he kept out of her way and she his. He didn’t hate her or dislike her he just… nothing-ed her he guess he could say. He felt the bond, felt her moods when they had dramatic swings and generally could feel where she was at but that instant love and attraction that was the fairy tale version of what imprinting was certainly wasn’t there. Perhaps it was because neither of his parents had good relationships with their own. HIs mother didn’t feel anything towards her own imprint and his father hated his own. Not that Asriel had any idea that that was what either of his family’s had been like.

In all his musings it seemed his paws had carried him across the pack and too the shores. He liked it here, liked listening to the waves and feeling like he was far from Taviora. He couldn’t say he didn’t miss it, them, sometimes, but he was better here, but he still didn’t know what to do with himself to make himself fit in and keep whatever feelings he had inside of him mostly under control. He heard the splashing and laughing then of a child. HIs golden gaze shooting up to look around bringing him out of his thoughts. It was then he spotted two wolves, though one was clearly a pup not even of a year yet and the other seemed to be his father.

He wasn’t sure what to do, how to react. HIs mother would have been friendly and greeted them, his father… well he wasn’t sure. Let them come to him he assumed. See if they wanted anything to do with the grey older pup or if they would move on. He watched curiously though, his eyes fixated on the white and brown pup so full of light and hope. Something he used to have. BUt it was snuffed out, and someday, Asriel was certain his would be too.

”Hello.” He managed a greeting to the two of them, though his voice probably sounded a bit dull and maybe awkward. He wasn’t sure where to go from there either, not anymore. He wasn’t even sure if he wanted to give his name, but these wolves were his new pack mates now, so he should probably get used to them. Get to know them. ”I”m Asriel. I’m… new.” Unlike with Taviora where he was ushered from family group to family group his father simply left him. It was a strange thing now that he thought about it having to be so independent, but it was what he came here for.
