Fir Chilis is the name given to the dense string of forested land that fills much of Blossom Forest. There are two different populations, depending on where in the land you are. To the north lays the deciduous forest, full of maples, oaks, birches, and beeches. To the south lay a coniferous forest full of pines and firs. No matter where you are, the trees shelter you from the sun and the rain and the snow. Take care not to get lost in the woods however - you may never find your way out. There are other dangerous here too - predators waiting for their own prey. While the land is prosperous they do not pose too much of a threat, but whenever famine or drought hits, they will attack anything... even other Putnar.

Those looking to hunt will find the forests well stocked - there are white-tailed deer, turkeys, red squirrels, chipmunks, mermots, and moose.

After meeting my apparent new family, my now also blind self seriously needed a walk. Some time to clear my head, take a breath. Pine over the fact that within one day I had woken up with absolutely no memory, completely blind, and acquired and entirely new family of none other than… vampires! Yay me! Oh yeah, life was going great, everything was completely normal and I had it totally under control! Ha.

So, here I am, wandering my tiny blind ass through some unknown woods. My mind is reeling, filled with thoughts and feelings, mostly frustration. I’m really going to need to learn how to get around better because I’m pretty sure my nose is a raw chunk of purple at this point considering all the crap I keep running into.

I realize that it must be snowing as I feel soft, cold specks on my sore shnoz. The temperature definitely dropped and the woods were now the beautiful sort of silent that only comes with snow. My favorite type of weather. Wait…. how did I know that? I shrug to myself, I guess it’s more of a feeling than a memory to love a certain type of weather.

The ground is cold beneath my paws, though there is no crunch yet. That must mean it isn’t a lingering type of snow. oof. Oh look, another stupid tree. I sit this time and shake my fluffy head free of dancing stars. Suddenly, a massive BOOM erupts from the earth. There is an audible mass scramble of wings and calls as the birds above scatter. I duck my head reflexively. It is then that this weird feeling of…. light… surrounds me, who knew you could feel light?

That’s when this immense feeling of heaviness… no…. power? Begins to course through my small being. I can’t catch my breath and my front legs are suddenly week. Before I know it I feel my face hit the ground hard and then… true darkness.

Leviathan
From the mouth of the ocean and the eye of the wave
You erupt in my being and leap from my grave;
A lover so gloomy, yet dreadfully bright
You're clothed with darkness but crowned with light.
You come in the spark, you soar with the fire
The mist is your pillow, the tornado your choir;
I will kiss you to sleep on the wild ocean crest
A sleeping volcano, an earthquake at rest.
