||wear a smile on my face||
It caused her some relief to see once all the pack members had arrived, that they were okay. Deep down, the fiery vixen felt as if they were her family, even if not by blood. She'd never had that and thus it made her feel safer than per usual, instead of on edge at all times, she could relax some. Feel at home. They were of the same pack, they were in the same pack. No; they didn't have to like each other, but when it came down to it she would protect each and every one of them. Including Athene, no matter how much Athene despised the maned femme fatale. Kari tried so hard to be hated by others, which she achieved usually, it wasn't hard as they usually retaliated in her sarcasm and games in anger and pettiness. When Athene waltzed in and said her verses towards Kari, the vixen looked at her for a moment. Should she move towards her? Should she ignore her and listen to whatever Kershov had to say? Twas the first question that she acted on. Moving towards the fae; once she got to her the foxy girl let her bodice brush against the others. If she did not move of course. Now, Athene, why loathe me so? As it stands I haven't done anything physical to you. Is it, perhaps, that you are jealous of me? Or perhaps we got off on the wrong. . . paw? she let a toothy grin grace her maw as she paused for a second before speaking once more. You don't have to like me, I don't really give a shit if you don't, but at the very least; let's put our differences aside and figure this shit that has now fallen into our laps out together instead of being hostile. The kalak made her move away from Athene now and went to sit closer to where Kershov and Milo now sat.
Macaria then came forth to the meeting, giving her a slight nod, it was then she'd called for her mate. When he showed, he talked to Kershov first, then Mabbit; his brother it seemed. And finally went to Macaria to speak to her and be near his mate. Kari then turned her attention back to Kershov as he spoke to think of Milo as their guest; it irked her. What if this fae could actually do damage to their pack, her home? It made her highly uncomfortable and want to interrogate the fae to find out her true intentions. But the fae withheld. Not wanting to cause any unneeded attention or unwanted attention. When he spoke to Athene; telling her that Milo was in fact not a stray nor his new toy, but that she ruled over what once was Munashii but was now Wudubearo as the names came to her so naturally.
Mabbit finally spoke up to her sarcastic endeavors, saying not to doubt their king and that Kari was a stray before she came here. Ah but see, Mabbit, this pack had just begun when I came here as Kershov hadn't even marked the borders properly. That makes me no stray, and this fae, as Kershov has now stated; belongs to another pack as that packs alphess. So why would she come here instead of going to her own home? her question was innocent and aimed towards Kershov and Milo more than anybody else. The sand having an unwanted feeling on her paws, the moment Mabbit mentioned the caverns near the water, Kari felt her stomach lurch. She knew if they were to go there; everyone would see her weakness and thus her "strong" attitude be reprimanded. So the ess chimed in with There's also dens closer to the heart of the territory, I saw them in the middle of the change before I waited it out elsewhere. I believe they could connect to the caverns though.
