Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

Test My Will, Test My Heart

_________________________________________________________________________

The female had not really thought about how the magic that spread through the lands was going to affect other wolves. Really she had been selfish with all of this, only focusing on what had happened to her. And to her family, like Drizzt. But she hadn’t thought about the rest of the wolves that lived her. She knew a bit more than most thanks to the transformation that she had gone through. But what would she have felt if everything around her just suddenly changed with no explanation? She could only imaging the confusion and even fear that she would have felt. And what if Drizzt had not been there to confirm that everything she had gone through was real? Would she have gone insane from questioning what had gone on inside her body and in the world around her? She hoped not, but she couldn’t rule out the possibility. She had felt plenty of fear during her transformation, not understanding what was going on or what was causing the pain that had coursed through her. But now that she had gone through it, and also spoken with her nephew, she had a better understanding of it. Adara’s bright blue orbs looked to the darker colored brute, wondering if he thought that she was crazy. Surely he must with the vagueness she had been giving him.

Harlow looked on in confusion as she asked about magic, wondering if he knew of what was going on here, and his look gave her the answer she needed. It was clear that he did not know, and if he was traveling alone why would he know? Who would have told him or explained any of the strangeness to him? His golden gaze looked around, as if he was making the connection to his surroundings from her words. "You mean how the lands changed?" Adara smiled and nodded to him as he continued. "The packlands I came to were once a forest, but the trees fell and the ground changed.... now, now there's mountains near.... and only grasses and undergrowth. The trees are gone. It's different.” Even though he didn’t ask a direct question, his words sounded questioning, as if he was unsure of himself or what he was saying. She could understand why he sounded confused, she would be too if she were him. "That is why I came here. To figure out what happened.... nothing is where it was before, and I don't understand it. A storm can uproot trees but it cannot move a territory..." Once more Adara gave him a smile, realizing that she would be the first one to explain all of this to him and what had happened. At least as much as she knew. She could only hope that her explanations would make sense and would be enough for the male to have a better understanding of what was going on in the new lands of Blossom.

”Everyone here was very confused at first, I’m still learning everything that happened myself. But my family’s bloodline was one of the older bloodlines, and we still had some residual magic in ourselves apparently. None of us knew it until everything changed.” She paused for a moment, hoping that he wouldn’t think she was insane the more she went on about magic and transformations. There was something special about him that she didn’t want him to leave. ”It all happened very suddenly, like an explosion everywhere really. Myself and the rest of my siblings transformed when the magic came back. It’s what changed my eyes to be so bright. We are protectors of a special breed of wolves called the Arcus Irae, and myself and my family are known as Tempests.” Once more Adara paused her speech, not wanting to rattle on too long without breaks in case anything she said didn’t make sense and Harlow had any questions as she went. ”Besides Tempests and Arcus Irae, Vampires also returned, and we have to protect others from them. The magic gives some of us…special senses. So we can tell when those we protect are in danger or need of us. And when all of this magic came to change the wolves, it also changed the lands. That’s why everything looks different and there are more mountains and oceans and all kinds of lands now.” With a nervous gaze she looked back to Harlow, gauging his reaction to see what he thought of the explanation. ”I hope you don’t think I’m crazy now.” She awkwardly shuffled from paw to paw, afraid that he would have walked away, or would do so now, after she had gone into so much detail. He was the first wolf that she had had to explain all this too, and speaking it out loud made it that much more real to her.
