Once this place used to hold the yin and yang scenery of Blossom Field. Now, there are miles of winding tundra. To the north, this tundra is cruel and dry, with wisping weaves of tall grasses. The ground is cracked and cold, and it hardly is ever moistened by dearly desired rainfall. To the south, the tundra becomes more prosperous - meadows of flowers and herbs grace the ground. Part of this connects near Elebeam Weargtreow - however it is an impassible field of poppy, which will put any wolf trying to cross it into a deep slumber, and eventually die.

Those looking to hunt here will find mice, snakes, and rabbits, along with pronghorns, bison, and javalinas.

Never Forget Who You Are

The male’s yellow orbs watched the red colored femme, stained with the soot of the ashes that littered the ground here. She seemed to have some unique aspects to her, ones that might make her stand out from a crowd, but that was a good thing in Grey Wind’s mind. Everyone was too similar at times, always leading similar lives. But she seemed to dance to the beat of her own drum. The female had a unique way of speaking too, being more vague than most, intriguing the male to continue their conversation. Her cobalt blue orbs met his own as she spoke once more, her vocals ringing in his ears. "Everyone follows their own path. Sometimes we don't know what it is or means until we're too far to back down and try a different road. Just as nobody will have the same experiences and trials."" The female’s words were very true. His own path had been very different than he ever would have predicted. When he had been a teen, training under his father for the time when he would take over as alpha of the family pack, he never would have imagined himself mated to a cannibalistic female who he had kidnapped. Life had a funny way of turning out very different than anyone could ever predict. Some may not have been accepting of Macaria when he discovered her addiction to poppy and the changes it did to her, but he had already been in love with her at that point and would have accepted almost anything of her.

Grey Wind’s vocals spoke out as well after a moment of silence between them. ”That is the beauty of individuality. Life would be too dull if everyone was the same and on the same path. And the unseen paths are what keeps us all on our toes.” The brute padded closer to the femme to keep their conversation casual, sitting upon the ashy earth that almost matched his coat color. "I haven't had a home for many years now. I think I'd call it more by circumstance than by choice. The place I was born into- I decided that I didn't share the same views as they did. As for seeking refuge...I don't know. It's a lot less safe to be on your own like this, I know, but I have grown so accustomed to it...I'm not really sure that I could fit in anywhere. I'd be more akin to that stray you dragged home out of pity than a functioning family member. I wouldn't expect anyone to put up with me or even know how well I'd acclimate at this point." The femme’s cobalts looked at her paws for a moment, and Grey Wind realized that their conversation may have gone more personal than he meant it to. His intentions had been good, thinking that if she was looking for a home she may want to come to Uyaraut, but after her response that may not have be the case.

The brute’s head turned to look at her fully as he spoke. ”I’m sorry if I brought up too personal a struggle. The reason I asked was because I am a part of a pack known as Uyaraut. We are our own dysfunction functional family, each having something to bring to the pack. But each other’s protection and safety is the main goal in our pack, and all sorts have always been accepted. I had lost my family when I first offered myself to Kershov, the alpha. I’m sure a spot for you could be found…if you wanted to. But life outside a pack is not a bad life either if that’s what you prefer.” As the brute extended his offer, he realized that they had not exchanged names yet, and he had nothing to call the female. ”My name is Grey Wind by the way.” He watched her reaction to what he said. If she chose to decline the offer he would in no way be offended, but knowing she had no home made him feel the need to at least mention the pack he happily called home.
