Senior Citizen Team get Upset of the Year win Posted on November 10, 2017 at 08:38:52 AM by Jeff "Laca" Conway
The NJAA's two oldest players - Paul H (73) and JLaca (63) pulled off the upset of the year last night by winning just their second game ever as a team. Despite facing 150 to 1 odds vs. a respectable team of Seminole King and Mike, the AARP team was able to pull off a shocking win. Even more amazing is that Paul H was playing frontcourt - something about as rare as a total eclipse.
To add further insult to injury, the game winning point - with the score tied at 14-14 - was on a perfect dejada thrown by Paul H, in the front, against a stunned Magic Mike who could not run it down. Burning Mike on a dejada, who runs like a rabbit, is not easy. Mike may be wanting to check the mirror for gray hairs after this one. His winning percentage has been dropping as fast as the NFL ratings.
This was just the second win ever for PaulH/Laca as a team in the 6 years PaulH has been playing out there. They had played about 100 games together. Replies: There have been no replies.
