During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Anastasia would have never dreamed of herself being in the position that she was now. She’d sworn to trust no one, to not let anyone in… and yet, Lupin was able to tear down the walls that the petite vixen had so carefully constructed around herself. And he managed it all within a matter of moments. It didn’t feel forced, either. Lupin had definitely not urged the words from her kissers; no, Anastasia had told him willingly. The conversation felt natural. And afterwards, her past seemed to carry less hurt than before. Perhaps reciting it out loud was enough to bring her some peace, some closure, and maybe it was just nice to gauge Lupin’s reaction to it all. He made her seem less… foreign. Anastasia’s past was something that the multi-hued femme had always held against herself. However, her slender companion did not treat her poorly. He didn’t shame her when she spoke of her cowardice hiding. Instead, he’d attempted to comfort her. It was a foreign act to Anastasia; however, she responded by embracing him as well, and, oddly enough, it felt natural. It was like enveloping an old friend. For being a stranger to one another only moments prior, Anastasia felt a strange sensation. She felt at home, warm, and safe in his embrace. But that was weird… wasn’t it? To feel such a connection to a varg you’d just met? She could have stayed like that for hours, but the delicate wolfess shrank away from the physical touch in fear of scaring him away.

Lupin offered Anastasia the opportunity to accompany him on a walk to investigate Wudubearo’s recent renovations, and after a slight hesitation, she accepted. After all, the changes were what led her running back to their home so frantically, - the femme had simply lost herself and these prior intentions whenever Lupin arrived. Her entire world had literally changed, but the vixen found that she had been much more absorbed in learning about him. The small femme trailed alongside the earthy brute now, her gunmetal spheres fixated attentively on him as he spoke. She’d just inquired about the changes, questioning him on whether he knew what could have been the source. An earthquake, maybe, she thought to herself. But an earthquake could destroy land, of course… but, what sense does that make for the landscapes that developed overnight? It didn’t. There was a moment of hesitation in Lupin's vocals as he weighed in on her question, and for an instant, Anastasia feared that maybe she had asked the wrong thing.

”I’m not too sure honestly. But I have heard strange rumors. It seems like it can’t be real, but I don’t know what else could have made such drastic changes. But I guess there is…magic now?”

Lupin’s lyrics finally emitted, though he dragged them out in what Anastasia’s could only pick up as uncertainty. The petite vixen found herself stopping in her tracks, her steel spheres widened as they gazed into his green ones. “Magic…? Do you really think so?” Not wanting to bring an end to the couple's walk, Anastasia tentatively continued her steps, though now they were short and unevenly paced. She collected her thoughts for a moment, considering the option in her mind. She’d never even thought of magic… Could it be? Magic wasn’t real… or was it? If nothing else, it was, she supposed, the only thing that made sense out of the entire situation. She didn’t want to believe it, or even contemplate it. The idea was frightening and strange. But were there really any other choice? “I guess… it could be, maybe.” She spoke softly, her sweet voice hushed and unsure. “It does make sense, considering everything’s that happened. And, at least it’s not too bad… I don't think. I’ve only had the chance to see a few places, but it seems that Wudubearo took the change fairly well.” Her kissers curled into a gentle and reassuring smile as she peered over at him. "I haven't seen Milo lately, but maybe, she has some answers... Someone must know what's going on."
