--if you miss 1 game, your worst 2 games will be dropped
--if you miss 2 games, your worst game will be dropped

Congratulations to Purblue and bmh75 for sharing the crown in the Penn State week Scores Only contest in Week 7.

We had 57 participants for the week, including 1 new entrant and 9 returning participants from prior weeks. Only 232 of the 57 picked Michigan to win, with 32 selecting Penn State and one predicting an impossible tie. The average prediction was 16.88 Michigan-19.37 PSU. The median prediction was 16-20.

Purblue and bmh75 won the week with matching deviation scores of 12 points off the 42-13 final. Purblue predicted a 34-17 Lion win with bmh75 calling it 30-13. Those picks enabled them to put a 3 point distance between them and the next best finishers Potter and cutter. Potter and cutter tied for 3rd with deviations of 15 points. Potter expected a 31-9 Penn State win while cutter had it 27-13. Rounding out the top 5 was Big Apple Bucky and his 28-10 prediction.

There was a 3 way tie for 6th between COWolverine, jjwalker and Old Soldier (surprise) with deviations of 18 points. BlueinAZ1 and WF were one point further back at 19 to share 9th place and round out the top 10.

The median differential for the weeks was a season high 28 points (9 vs Florida, 23 vs Cincinnati, AFA 13, Purdue 11.5, MSU 21, Indiana 14); the average was 28.47. Bottom line is that many saw the loss coming but not many saw the PSU scoring fest coming.
