Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

It seemed that everyone aside from her was finding their guardians. And yet princess Zawyne had yet to find even one. She took some comfort in the fact that she knew that her sister‘s guardian Aindreas would take care of her as well… But it wasn’t the same. And the fact that she was alone, and had no protector… Well frankly it made her quite sad. And yet she was also conflicted with other emotions that she was not used to - one of which being jealousy. For her entire life up until this moment, the little princess had never wanted to be a princess at all. She did not see herself as being any different than the common folk, and often tried to rebel against her wardens ways by testing their limits and by visiting the poorer neighborhoods often. But now that she did not have any wardens, any Fehrward, she felt utterly alone. After all, back home, her wardens had essentially been her best friends, other than her sister of course. The tempest guards had been there to listen to all of her stories, her complaints, her hopes, her dreams, her nightmares. They taught her invaluable life lessons, and had a lot to do with her moral compass as it was currently set… And though she thought she would never enjoy having them around, she suddenly was very alone. Now… Back to the pressing matter of her jealousy…

Zawyne had never once been jealous of her sister. Instead, it was quite the opposite - Zawyne admired her older sister, cherished her, worshipped her. She was proud of the way her sister was, and had often molded her own behaviors off of the way her own sister acted. Losa was her perfect role model… Until now. Losa did not even want to have a guardian anymore… And she did not appreciate the one that she had been given. All Aindreas had tried to do so far was to help them, and yet Losa did nothing but threatened him and try to push him away. How could she not want one? Yes… Duma had done a terrible, horrible thing. But he was one in 1 million - how many generations of Tempests had bonded to rainbows had there been without such incident? Why did she now think of him as the rule rather than the exception? And so Zawyne was stuck in a hard place that she never thought she would visit… A place where she was upset with her sister, and jealous of her too. Zawyne, for once in her life, had thrown a fit, and had prayed to the gods that they would switch Aindreas to instead be her guardian, to give Losa what she wanted and have no guardians at all… of course they either did not listen, or they did not answer her prayers. Either way, the princess pup was left frustrated, and it drove her away from the others. She knew that she should not be exploring by herself, but she didn’t care anymore. Maybe if she explored far enough, she would find herself a guardian of her own…

But when did the river turn to soil, the silt reeds to trees? Her mismatched sunrise gaze looked at the dense trees that now surrounded her in confusion. Yes, she had been wandering for a while, but had she not been consciously taking in her surroundings? She jumped and turned around, and was glad to find that her paw prints were nice and crisp, leaving a clearly put trail of breadcrumbs for her to follow back… At least that was one thing. But that did not change that she did not know where she was. Not that… Not that that said much. She had not explored most of this new place, especially since she caught up with her sister. Losa was overly protective of her, and wouldn’t let her go anywhere alone. But didn’t that make sense? If Zawyne only had her guardians, then she could go wherever she wanted and still be protected! At that thought, she smiled, and picked up the trot that she had only just ceased. But what she didn’t think about was that the Tempests here, unlike those at home, were not so protective. They believed in individuality, and were not raised with the idea that rainbow should never be left alone, lest harm come to them.

Another 15 minutes, or perhaps a half hour, was spent in blissful silence. Zawyne had never before experienced a winter, and so the snow wonderland before her amazed her. She reveled in its beauty, and hadn’t even tried tasting the snow. It melted on her tongue, and allowed a cold yet refreshing fluid to run down her throat. If she didn’t know any better, she would have thought it to be water! But at any rate, her distraction brought on by the snow ceased as soon as another set of vocals entraced her. True… Perhaps any words, any other wolf would have entertained her… But this one spoken in a language other than the common tongue. She had been being raised to be the next lore keeper… Which meant she also was taught very many tongues. Though she had not finished her training, she knew enough of the language to be conversational, and only found it regrettable that none of her other rainbows knew the language. Excitedly, her little paws danced delicately over the snow toward the origin.

"I’m here! I’m here!" She skated through the tree trunks until she finally found her stop at the paws of a stranger. He did not have the blue eyes of a Tempest, nor the red hell holes of a vampire. But other than that, she could not tell much about him. She stared up at him in awe. "Are you a Lorer too? How else would you know that language?" Zawyne shook her head and smiled with a laugh. "Escúlpame. Eres un “Lorer” tambien? Si no, como es que tú sabes el idioma de espanol?"
