Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He watched her face and her body. There were always little clues that would give something, anything, away. In the fields the mice would twitch, in a wolf it would be their eyes, their paws, their shoulders, their ears. It became easy to read when you knew what to look for and impossible to conceal completely. What he hoped to eventually teach her was to make the show a part of her weapon. Move in close so once they knew the shift of her stance it would be too late for the poor bastards.

Her ears gave her away. Sharpened stare pinpointed her movements and he twisted away by pivoting on his front paw. Her lung brought her within range so his fangs snapped out at her passing shoulder to punish her for her mistake. He was fast and agile, determined to make a mark to show Thorne he punished as he was told... but he was fair in his reprimand.

“Brute strength is not for you.” He looked her dead in the eyes, attempting to keep her attention in him as he started to pace in front of her, inching closer with each round. “You are beautiful and fast. You have an entirely different weapon.” He inched closer, eyes still locked on her’s. As soon as he was close he snapped forward, jaws snapping at her eyes. The intent was not to land a blow, but to drive her back, away from him to try again. Lightly, he also leapt back and away, sitting in front of her.

“Do not make a small wolf dance. We are quick and light on our feet. Your legs might be able to outstrip us, but not for long and not in close range.”
