PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

somebody shine a light

If Rowena could hear the thoughts in this strange stallion's head, she'd think him smart. His fear of mares-only herds is well justified. He's not the only one with rough experiences concerning Amazon herds. Rowena was raised in one, and she now calls the Peak home, less for any affinity towards mare-run herd, or any hatred for stallions, and more for convenience. Her life has changed dramatically over the last few years, and after everything that's happened, the Peak is the only place left with any measure of comfort or familiarity.

If anything, her presence here is ironic. It was drama stirred up by her mother's own band of bachelorettes that turned her life upside down in the first place. Rowena should shudder at the idea of living here, but somehow she doesn't. There aren't any mares here like her mother. The atmosphere is different in the Peak than it was where Rowena grew up. Rowena doesn't associate her misfortune with the female gender, but instead with hate. It was hate that drove her mother to commit such horrible acts, and it was her hate that ended her. These mares seems relatively peaceful, and this is a relief to Rowena, who has a poor track record as a peace keeper.

After spending a significant amount of time accompanying Macabre on a mission in Tinuvel, Rowena has had little opportunity to familiarize herself with her sisters, or with the captives they keep. She wasn't actually aware of a captive, so imagine her surprise when aimless wanderings bring her upon the resting form of a large stallion. Rowena was not moving with any sort of stealth. She's in her own home, so it never crossed her mind to try to be discreet. There is no doubt he heard her approach, but her surprise leaves her staring frozen and wide-eyed at the stranger lying in the brush several yard ahead of her. She should issue a greeting, but any words catch in her throat. If her cheeks weren't covered in fur, she too would be blushing red.
