Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

He had not expected a child though, perhaps he ought to have. After all, it felt as if children had begun to grow a knack for finding him. He wondered, albeit briefly, if this had become his new norm as the blonde boy came towards him, seemingly without even a moment to consider that Elohim might be, say, dangerous. Of course, Elohim made no effort to seem as such: instead, he barely regarded the boy until he was closer and only then did his eyes turn towards him with the slightest of a tilt to his head. Even when the child's paws were at him, he merely gave them the briefest sniff to confirm his suspicions. Asteraia, of course. It seemed that the adult danger had pushed the children out and into the open.

He had been but a moment from answering the boy when another had bounded into sight, seemingly with even less concern than the other. Ah, suspicion. Elohim knew the look long before the boy even had to speak it - still, it made him smirk, an almost sauve thing as he leaned down towards the pair. "Creeping? That implies I did not wish to be caught, no?" He probed the boy ever so gently, his head having tilted to its opposite axis then as his brows rose momentarily to strengthen the question. "Pray tell, effingo, who Archana might be?" He didn't even need to guess - the boy was Aster's through and through, a copy almost. He even bristled like her.

In truth, though, Elohim had no idea who - or what! - an Archana might be. He could speculate but names were wind and so, it could have been anybody he might have been with. With that, he shrugged the boy off before he tilted his head back towards the first child. "Today, there'll be a new alpha. I want to be among the first to know who that might be," he paused and then glanced towards the packland with a tilt of his muzzle, "that is why I am watching who comes and goes." With that, he kept his eyes back on the borders with only a moment to spare each boy with a glance. He knew the Effingo wouldn't let him off easily if his blood was as truly Aster as it seemed and so, he figured he might as well get comfortable for his interrogation.
