Word spreads fast, and once I heard I knew where I needed to be. Iromar was too close to where Thorne lived and my encounter with Thorne recently only solidified this. I need space away from where he lives, not shared borders. Not only that, Arturio did not hesitate to protect and assist me. His honor and leadership has captivated me since the moment I met him, and now that he is leader of the fields, it only felt right to head that direction.
It was hard leaving Iromar. It has been my home for a long time, but I also had a bit of discomfort there too. It was hard to explain. I need a change, and I need a place where Throne doesn’t know where my den is. I don’t want to be trapped in a den with him ever again. I takes me a bit to get to the fields as I try to use water to hide my trail as much as possible, and just generally taking a wide and obnoxious path as possible so there is no way he could follow me...at least I hope.
Once I get to the fields, I smell that of my friend. I feel a sense of comfort already...but my paranoia about Thorne does not allow me to use my voice to call out to him. Instead, I just...let myself in. I think he will understand. He saw the reason why. He felt the reason why. He fought the reason why. After what he has done for me, I will help him in any way I can.
I march on in on my white paws. The ground is moist from a recent rain. It is chilly but not too cold, and no sign of snow with this weather right now. The clouds are a bit overcast, with rays of light peeking through every now and then. Honestly, it was quite a site along the field since there were not so many trees to block the experience. I watched for a moment with my green eyes, and smiled with my tail wagging. It was beautiful! Maybe I am just excited, even though my heart waivers with the constant anxiety of Thorne following me.
As I get close to the inner part of the pack, I make a quieter call, one that would not be heard for too far, hoping to get Arturio’s attention. My ears are perked as I look around, hopeful to see him and hopeful that he will accept me into his pack...ah who am I kidding, I know he will let me join! Now just to figure out how I can pay him back for everything he has done for me...
