Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

She felt exhausted, and for some reason, painful. It felt as if the entire area of skin running down her back both hurt and itched like crazy. The skin there rippled, and a new sense of agony immediately washed over her, waking her from her peaceful slumber. No whine, no cry fell from her lips… She was too accustomed to torture for that. But it certainly did cause her confusion. Her mind relived the last few moments she had had before she had fell unconscious… have the steam scalded her skin? Was her hair burned off? Quickly, she whipped her nape around to peer at her dorsum, but her hair was fine… But there were ripples in her pelt. It was as if there were a bunch of scabs underneath her hair… Causing that appearance. She tenderly nudged one of the areas, and immediately regretted it due to the pain. But… Also there was now a new sense of confusion and wonderment. For it was not a scab beneath her fur… But something else. Something prickly, pointed, firm. It almost felt as if there were individual splinters stuck in her flesh. Hesitant to move, she slowly looked at the ground around her, expecting to find a tree or something else of the sort in pieces on the ground… Perhaps struck by lightning? But there was nothing… Nothing other than the normal forest floor. She was thoroughly confused now, but she figured if nothing else, her skin would push out the invasive substance in time. And as for the pain? It was nothing that she could not handle, nothing that she not been forced to experience before. And so she rose to her feet, and slowly began to walk back the way she came. After all… Siku had not chased after her. He had sent no hell hounds after her to drag her back. Apparently… When he said free… He meant it. So why then does she still feel bound to him? Why was she returning to his territory of her own accord?
