Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

strong in silence

It always amused her that so many thought of muteness as a weakness, in truth it had become her greatest strength. Without too much effort she was able to cause intrigue simply by virtue of the fact that no one would ever truly know what rattled around betwixt her pretty, dark ears. Others always formed opinions of her based on what they saw and she could either play into those or rail against him, it was the easiest game and yet one she had never sought to play, it was simply thrust upon her by those outside looking in. She feels him tense at her teeth on his skin and yet he does not recoil, her smile is hidden in his fur but she cannot help but feel she has won a certain type of battle as she stares into his golden eyes. She huffs at his words with a smooth roll of her slender shoulders; that was the problem with those who could speak, always trying to put words onto feelings when sometimes the feeling itself is simply enough.

Carefully she watches him as he prowls around her, a game of cat in mouse wherein they were both simultaneously predator and prey. The delicious feeling crawling up her spine continued to buzz like a hive in summer. She presses into him again as he slides down her side, mixing her scent onto his own as well, joining in his claiming. It was a two way street, each mixed with the other and now their joint scents could not be separated as it swirled on the cold wind around them. Her small ears flicked as he spoke again, looking unashamedly back at him in open acknowledgment of what he had said. The white shadow was her imprint, met by chance and altogether not the type to usually stir interest of any kind in her, and yet fate had intervened. Now it dictated that their chance meeting could not be a one time thing, that even now despite how far away he was she knew he was whole and well. Knew that when he left would not be the last time she saw him. Theirs was a relationship ordained by the fates and she could not fight it, nor did she try for the sensation was new and interesting. Outside of that bond he was atypical to her normal interests, so bright and clean and honorable. Everything was held on his proverbial sleeve which the shadowy woman found a bit reckless, yet still the link which had decided to bond them remained.

Still it is the continued advantage of her silence that often causes others to feel the need to fill it with words and Eden continues on in such a manner. Still even he knew the answer to his question before it was asked and she huffed a laugh as her bright eyes and straightening of her posture spoke louder than anything that she would like to see him try. She had always been her own person, from the beginning she had failed to be dictated by her parents into the pretty little lady they desired her to be, had broken the bonds of what her body said she could do by becoming a fearsome warrior, and she would not start letting someone else now tell her what could and could not be. Yet then she sighed lightly and relaxed her posture once more, lips parting into a wolfish smile to convey that none of that would be necessary. These beaches were as much hers as they were Edens, perhaps even more so as the salt ran through her veins and she had no desire to leave them especially if he gave her a reason not to.

It was no secret that she wasn’t the only wolfess to have ever shared time with him, his children that she had discovered were rather numerous. Most recently a gray and white boy smelling strongly of Taviora around the same age as her own children who had passed their boarders, though Eden had tried to cover his arrival Nari was well suited to moving in the shadows and kept her secrets better than any. Still she was not the jealous type, though it did make her wonder what it might be like to share more than one bed it was a thought she might pry into more later. For now she simply looked at Eden expectantly, sensing there was more to this line of questioning that might meet the eye.
