Admittedly, she was mildly impressed with his attitude towards this whole Kingship situation-- there was something to be said about a man who cared little for titles that he had not yet earned. Truly, did the untested alphas characterizing the packs these days have reason to lord themselves over anybody? Perhaps he would join the greats in the annals of history, or perhaps he would be but a small blip in the turbulent past of the plains pack. He had quite the adventure on his hands, nevertheless, and Adonai herself was curious as to where he would take Asteraia. A noble ruler, the girl could already see him as, but nobility did not necessarily beget legendary. Would he be a King who's life would be sung by wolves living decades down the line? Or would he fade into the background, another transient force in a pack that had already had many?
Adonai could not yet tell. His goal for no 'significant troubles' was lofty in a world where all troubles seemed to be paramount; the question was whether or not he could carve a path for Asteraia itself, or simply fall behind a force already at play. She mused over it for a moment.
Still, he seemed as capable as one could be under the circumstances, and despite his evident noble nature he did not seem to be a man obsessed with justice. That, too, could be a danger to her grandfather's sometimes more... morally grey activities. Though her mind turned over each word, each subtle twitch, Adonai did not look as if she was lost in thought. His words were easy to reply to, but their connotation and their deeper meanings were something that she could mull over endlessly. Perhaps this is what she had been bred for; the culmination of each piece of her family ending in a girl who was distantly aware of every little thing. No doubt, then, that Eden would try and use her as a tool. She supposed it was not the worst fate.
Adonai gave him a rather diplomatic smile.
