I just came on this board to comment on the unusual lack of birds in our area...Tiny Conc.2 aka Woodland Beach. Although there is plenty of natural food around, we still can't understand it as my husband feeds them in summer, when there is lots of natural food, & our feeders are usually emptied every day. Now, our feeders haven't needed filling for almost 8 weeks. This is really weird. Even the jays who mob us for peanuts are few & far between. Scary. I understand weather has a bearing on this, but we've had late winters before. In the 20 years we've lived at this location, this is the first time we've noticed such a decline. Only the occasion finch or chickadee & of course some doves.
