Re(1): ESPN

It would explain a lot of things. ESPN was once the envy of the business world. It could raise the fees it charged cable operators almost at will. It was like tobacco companies in their heyday. But as the cable world changed, it didn't, and it is paying for it now. It grossly overpaid for rights to live sports, and it decided to re-orient its programming so as to constantly preach far left progressive ideas to its viewers, most of whom differ ideologically. Insulting your customers is never a great business strategy, as the NFL is learning.
