Persephone listened with interest as Freya worked out the years to herself. She envied this mare’s previous time spent on these islands – Persephone still felt like an outsider even now, and she still felt there was so much knowledge she was missing out on and that she might never fully uncover. “Orkaan was the leader I met,” she replied, curious to see if Freya knew the name. “Do you know him?” At Freya’s mention of friends, Persephone couldn’t help the warm smile that grew across her face. She nodded in agreement, cheered by this mare’s positive outlook. At her next question, Persephone’s happiness could only grow even further – this woman seemed such pleasant and interesting company, and of course the Forest was always in need of more life. “And I you,” she replied warmly. “Of course there is, it would be my pleasure to have you, Freya. Should I show you the way?” |
