The sight of the girl jumping out of her own skin and into the freezing cold river was enough to rip a loud, roaring laugh out of his throat. He could not fight the laughs that came bubbling out of his chest. This was definitely the best idea he'd had in ages. She looked so pathetic as she glared up at him, he had to bite his tongue not to laugh any harder at the girl. Oh boy howdy this would be the best day ever. He grinned, a stupid, ignorant lopsided grin that he could not tear off his face for the life of him.

She climbed out of the water, shaking water in every direction, still glaring daggers at him, and if it didn't make her look even more adorable. She snarled, growling and then she spoke a few words. "Oh love, you don't want me to shove off, If I do, you'll land back into that frigid water. How about you come close to me, I'll warm you up." The cocky grin split across his face once more as he stood there facing her, wondering how much more pissed at him she could get. Oh, he was just getting started. This, would be the best day ever, no doubt about it.

He wondered why absent mindlessly, why her voice sounded like a truck driver who smoked two packs of cigs a day. He'd have to inquire later. Definitely.
