I must admit I am a little surprised that she does not question the task but rather, she immediately begins to play the game. Internally, I am pleased yet I do not allow that to come through to my features; instead, I offer her the same neutrality, though perhaps my curiosity still exists in the corners of my lips as she begins weaving her tales. I nod in response to each of her claims, searching her over for any indication of a lie - if there is anything to be proud of, it is her infallible delivery. For her efforts, I give her something to satisfy her own curiosity: at her mention of Nari, I allow my lip to pull up ever so slightly, just enough of a smirk to indicate something hidden.
"Don't you think that fate would command Nari to follow him? Yet, here she remains," I offer with a shrug, perhaps a little too confidently than should be permitted considering the possibility that it is the truth. "But if Arturio's head was filled with such grandeur," I begin, "then why is it that he would beg? I would expect him to demand -" I smirk, raising a brow, "don't you think?" My head tilts, searching her once more for any giveaway. "Aster does not surprise me, or you I'm sure. She has few others places to crawl to, after all." It never did make sense, I think, for her to leave the moors. For one so sensitive to family matters, it might have made more sense for her to fight for her homeland, no? So, that is certainly not the lie. Curious, yes, but not a lie.
"Arturio has not allowed power to get to his head - yet, at least. Is that correct?" My head tilts to its opposite axis then as I await confirmaton - or denial. I wonder how I might feel if it is indeed the truth - what would that say about Adonai's capabilities? Has she observed myself and Nari enough to know the woman is not simply another pack member? And if Arturio has truly allowed power to his head...ah, how fun it might be, no?
"But if that is your lie," I quickly add with a more devious grin, "then I wonder what might have inspired it. Did you perhaps feel such a thing was possible for him?"
