Now that she was closer, Dagon realized that the stranger did smell suspiciously alike to the boy who had thrown up in front of her paws. Perhaps they were siblings. After all, how many sick mothers could there possibly be within Spirane? She kept the thought to herself, though, not wanting to get into the business of assuming things. It was better, she thought, to find things out naturally, though curiosity did pepper her every interaction. The girl gave a slight nod and a smile in recognition to the other's words, admittedly not quite grasping what she could possibly mean. Her mother was doing just fine, and as young as she was, sickness was not entirely something that she could quite recognize.
"It is good to meet you too, Myrcella. I agree, all the birds and bugs and beasts are curious to me, as well." Dagon offered with a shrug, but at the very least she wished to be careful. It would be a tragedy in every way should she be gobbled up by some mountain cat or grizzly bear, or poke a bug which poisoned everything that touched it. She had to wonder, though, if that was the truth or a tale spun to keep her from wandering off. Danger, real danger, seemed far away and mysterious, as if it could only happen to others and not to herself. She blinked, offering Myrcella a wide grin as she extended her offer to explore.
Dagon padded past Myrcella and down towards the frozen river. "What are we here for if not to explore?" She turned back to look at her companion with a daring glint in her eyes. The river, in this area, was completely frozen overtop. The girl tilted her head, placing a paw upon the unbroken surface and wiping away some of the snow that had fallen over the ice. "Look." She said, out loud to herself but also to Myrcella if she was near enough. "There are fish swimming beneath the ice!" |
