If you can afford it, absolutely get the imaging. Another option that a lot of guys skip is finding a sports med doc. Iím very fortunate to have always had that option. If possible go to one. Other than that, light, light, stretching and ROLLING is a must. Any PT is going to have you do it. If it hurt before, it will hurt like you did it all over again. But only that shit for at least a couple weeks. Putting weight on a bar and going right back into doing the same dumb shit will put you farther back than if youíd never done anything. Most tears in a muscle belly are good to go after 6-8 weeks. Let it heal, itís fucking powerlifting not the olympics or nfl. If you follow some of the dumbasses playing it off as battle or war youíll fuck yourself. Literally 2 months in the whole scheme of things means nothing...unless you donít let it heal, then youíre dealing with years. Be smart, not like the bravado spewing idiots youíre likely to find playing the hardcore game.
