He was far from pleased from hearing this… news. He watched her reaction to his words that someone had been unduly mean to her and that was… frustrating. What was their point of doing that? Why did she apparently think it was okay to pick on a pup that clearly had to smell of him at the very least. It made him a little more than prickle inwardly. ”Who?” It wasn’t exactly a question, it was more of a demand. He would be talking to Pine about this treatment. He knew that loners were unwelcome now, but she was a child and Zanon might not have emotions per say but he did have common sense it seemed. Something this pack clearly needed more of. It just, twisted him the wrong way a bit that they would mess with his… he didn’t know what to call her project he guessed in such a way. He wanted to keep her close, make her happy and it was very hard to do that when others went and messed with her.

He wanted to know though, cause he wanted to see what bone they apparently had to pick with him. He was pretty sure it was HIM was the reason. Why else do it? At least that seemed reasonable, but even that made him want to bite his lip in annoyance. He wanted to think it was that more than just someone being a bitch to some kid. He for some reason didn’t expect a direct answer, it might have even been that she didn’t know. Zanon wouldn’t put it past anyone being a jerk to not say their name so that they wouldn’t get any fallout when it came time. Though he would find who it was and Karma was cruel woman. Ask his father, he got to experience it first hand.

Zanon ran on nothing but logic and common sense though. Sometimes frustration at failings of other things and not understanding would ruin him. He was out for himself, and he didn’t really understand a lot of what Magpie was actually feeling. He tried to be empathetic but it was really impossible when he knew this life was surely better than the one she had. So her anxiety did seem completely out of proportion to the situation. Stalling wasn’t going to stop him from going to Pine at some point even if it was later than he thought. He turned to start heading in that way, either she would be pulled along or she wouldn’t be, he didn’t expect an answer after several moments of silence. Though he paused when she finally did speak he let his pink eyes go to her, a serious look falling over his visage, a harshness appearing in his pink eyes as he pondered such a thing possibly happening.

”Then I am leaving. I don’t want to deal with wolves that have no sense anymore. A general member, yes, but if my Queen and Ruler is devoid of it then she will drive this pack into a worse place than the previous ruler did in time. I want no part of that.” He said turning again, hoping that was enough of an answer to encourage her to follow along now. She wouldn’t be alone at least, she would have him, even if he wasn’t exactly good or family. It worked.

So he was off to find Pine, whether not Magpie came or not was up to her, but Zanon started off trying to find the Imp. He made his way right towards the borders, figuring if she was anywhere he would find her there. He wasn’t wrong. Soon he saw the wolfess dutifully patrolling her lands. ”Lady Pine.” He called to get her attention, though he did no more. His posture was neutral, it had been a while since they had last spoke for any length, and he had grown much in that time, very much resembling the very wolf she had killed now, except the eyes… He wondered how she really felt about him. Probably some sense of unease… he was sure, he supposed he could understand that. Even his mother was uneasy around him just because of how he looked. Only one way to find out if she regretted letting him stay or not.
