The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

✦Please have mercy on me. Take it easy on my heart.✦

It had been a strange few months. Siku had become and alpha, he had to take in a crap princess who thought she was the most wonderful thing in the world. Only for her horrid knight to come and take her away. Both were banned from his lands and he knew that if they came back he would gladly kill each one of them. On top of that he threatened to kill the angel that captured his heart. He would never harm the small fae that had taken his heart away from him. He sighed softly as snow started to fall around him. The white beast was not fond of all the stress that was being put on him, but he was a strong male and would manage to work through it. The snow was bringing him peace. Reminding him of the days when the snow covered brute would play with his mother in the snow.

She’d chase him for hours. Showing him how to hide in the bright covered ground, how to capture his prey and how to be the best hunter around. This was how he became the wolf he is. His parents were outcasted and because of that they became his teacher, his friend, his family in a deep way. They showed him how to survive on his own and how to be alone, now he needed to learn how to live with others, to be a pack. His mother would know what to do and his father would cheer him on. Now though, he’s alone, alone in a world that he didn’t really understand properly.

His paws leave small tracks in the snow as he walks, his heart becoming as heavy as his shoulders felt. He wanted to share his burden with someone else, someone who would help him be the leader he needed to be. But he couldn’t bring himself to allow anyone else to bear this burden. Silence was filling the night as he walked, though the only sound that could be heard was the sweet sound of crunching snow under his massive paws. He honestly didn’t know where this path would lead him as he thought, he just wanted and needed to find his own space for a while. He needed to go back to his roots, to be alone. Maybe his father and mother’s spirits would guide him as he went.

The giant beast continued to think as the world around him turned into a winter wonderland. Animals of the spring and summer went into hibernation except the deer, a few skittered past him, hoping that he wouldn’t seek chase while they find a place to stay warm as the snow continued to fall around him. He wondered how Olya would feel if he brought her to this area of the snow covered grassland? Would she find it beautiful like he did? Would she want to romp in the snow with him as he chased her around playfully? Would she know how to play? All these things he wanted to teach her and more. First he needed to show her that he wasn’t going to keep her as a slave. That he wanted her to come to him if she wanted to be with him. Did she even want to be with him? Growling, the brute shook his head. He finally made a decision, he’d find a beautiful place in this snowy wasteland and bring her too it. He wanted to tell her how he felt and how he was going to let her leave. With the safety of a fae he had met, a young warrioress that was willing to prove her worth to Siku. He would never force Olya to take the Guardian, but he would feel safer if he didn’t let his innocent fae leave without protection.

He wanted her to explore the world around her, learn what freedom really meant. Maybe if he did this then Olya would understand that she is truly free with him. He’d never hold her to himself, never keep her like a slave, never treat her like she was worthless. He wanted her to know the worth that he had seen in her, it was worth its weight in any precious stone. As he thought he wondered if she would see the guardian as a way to make her come back to him, when in reality, the fae would leave Olya alone as soon as she asked for it. A smirk crossed the large brutes face. His love would never do such a thing, she’s to polite.

With a deep sigh, he kept walking, the snow continued to crunch under him as he paced through his lands. He looks around and saw glowing under the snow that was falling. He blinked a few times before he used his muzzle to brush away the snow, hidden under the snow was mushrooms they were glowing in the moonlight. As he looked around he noticed there was a circle of glowing mushrooms, though it was beautiful with the snow falling and the moonlight just resting on the center of the circle. Finally an idea popped in his head.

The brute jumped into action and as the night continued he pushed rocks carefully into the area that were loose, but large and ran through the pack lands grabbing large branched from outside of their lands where heavy trees had fallen. He worked diligently to cover the rocks on top with the branches. The snow carefully accumulating on top and helping to insulate the inside of the space. He then moved rocks against the backside to make it more den like. Smiling to himself as he now ran to get some pelts and moss to lay on the ground so it was nice and warm and soft for her. When it was finally done, Siku looked up to see the sun rising and he was exhausted, the den was special for her, it would be hers even if she left. In the spring he’d move flowers here so she had something beautiful to look at.

The brute sighed again as he cured up outside of the den, his eyes closing and falling asleep as the snow continued to fall around him and the den.
