THE FOUNDERS OF THE LF WEB SITE THE LATE CAPT. JOE EASTWOOD BEM AND COLIN BOUTTY WERE BOTH FIERCELY ENTRENCHED IN THEIR INTENT AND ADAMANT IN THEIR BELIEF THAT THE LF WEB SITE SHOULD REMAIN AN INDEPENDENT ENTITY AND FREE FROM OUTSIDE INFLUENCE. IN FURTHERANCE OF THAT END ALL SUGGESTIONS THAT THE WEB SITE BE ALLIED TO OR INDEED INTEGRATED INTO THE FUSILIER ASSOCIATION OR ANY OTHER GROUPING WERE FIRMLY REJECTED. THE ETHOS OF INDEPENDENCE REMAINS THE SAME. :SMILIES (Emoticons)

I have started a new string about the Colours for your for or against the other one is nearly full and Id like to keep your comments all together

1. Should we try to save the Colours from dropping to dust so they can be saved for ever or is this even right, personally I am not sure.

2. Our we allowed to save them what are the rules for this bearing in mind technology has moved on so much. Has I have said there is a set of 2RRFs already in the museum Bury not the last ones (point why are they not in a Church the last ones are in Warwick.)

3. Should we have to set up a fund to save ours or should it be the Regiment.

4, Should they still be kept in the Parish Church or Museum

5. Your comments please so we can move this forward.

I will when I get sometime get photos of them in the Regimental Parish Church it will not be easy, the good things is the new Rector is Army friendly so I am told we have has little problems in the past
