She watched and waited for her young children to gather. She was fairly excited and knew that this was gonna be a rather long day of walking and adventures. Long pauses to enjoy the sights along the way as well. Already her children were becoming full blown mountain wolves, true to their blood, and running about the mountain as easily as anything. So she knew that if they were far they would come fairly quickly after her call. Salem was first though, he came bleary eyed out of the den, just waking from a nap apparently. She gave him a soft lick on his forehead as he moved about quietly for a second before looking up at her and yawning. ”Yes, soon as Thistle and Hawthorn get here. Your father too. He said he would come on this trip. So we gotta make sure he gets up nice and safe. He’s not as good as climbing as you guys are just yet.” She said teasing lightly and giving the boy a little wink. She would carry her imprint up if she had too, bulky as she was it would still be pretty hard or impossible, but it made her giggle all the same thinking of carrying his shorter black and white form up the mountain.
He settled in next to her though, leaning against her leg and it was a fair bit later that her second son finally appeared. He looked quite the mess, causing Moonstone’s brows to knit together suspiciously as she saw the dust and debri in his coat. She began picking some of it out, but she wasn’t exactly meticulous about it. He then asked if they were really going. Moonstone was quite obdurate on this little venture. It was a growing experience for her, and she knew it would be good for her kids too. ”Of course we are honey.” She said finishing picking one last twig from his fluffy brown coat before allowing her lavender gaze to go around the area at his inquiry about where Thistle was. ”She’ll be here give her a little longer.” the mother assured him, giving him a lick across his cheek before immediately hearing the final bit of commotion that signified the arrival of her third child and only daughter.
She trotted right up to them all, spitting a pebble at her eldest brother’s paws before running about with excitement and near knocking her other brother over. Soon as your father gets here.” Moonstone let them all know, her tail waving and moving towards the edge of the cliff watching for Alistair to come. He had returned her call after all he was on his way. Soon he was upon him, and Moonstone felt such glee at seeing him and even more so as he doted upon each of their children. She smiled slightly watching them all for their reactions before he turned his attention to her saying the should get moving. ”Oh yes, especially if your mountain climbing hasn’t improved.” she nipped at his ear lightly before turning and immediately going up the inclining trail from the den.
She led the way though, allowing them to silently take in the scenery as they climbed or talk amongst themselves. ”Once we get there we will spend the night up there before climbing back down. So we will need to sleep nice and huddled up.” SHe had turned to faced them when she said this, her tail waving all the while. She was excited and she hoped they all were too.
