The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

this is the end

He knew that Myrria was back talking to Malleah and he couldn't be happier to know that they patched things up. Even through everything, he wanted Myrria to know she could still be a part of the family if that's what she wanted. He wouldn't push her away unless he saw danger to his mate or child and so far he had full trust that Myrria woud never act out against them. She loved her mother without a doubt and he knew that she still adored Lucia, even though she avoided her more now because he was usually around. He could see that Lucia was confused by this because she missed and loved her big sister, but she was growing more and more every day and getting more independent herself. Exodus had heard about the bed interaction between Malleah and the boy Lucia decided to befriend. Apparently a relative of his had showed up and spoke down to Malleah and she didn't like it one bit. Exodus didn't like that someone would disrespect his mate but at the same time, he knew Malleah could have quite the temper and she was super protective over Lucia. He just hoped that things settled down soon.

Meanwhile he wouldn't feel better till he'd had a chance to speak to Myrria and set the record straight. He knew he would never be her father but he could at least try to be her friend. She didn't have to fully trust him or even like him, as long as she knew that he wasn't so bad as she made it seem. He wasn't going to just tell everyone about the scene with that other female and the pack wolves from Taviora just because he knew it might push Myrria away and that's not what he wanted at all. He sensed that she was here. He could smell her. He knew she liked to come here when she wasn't near their den but she was still avoiding him and that troubled him. He didn't want that space between them. Lucia noticed it and it was only a matter of time before Malleah did too. He moved further into the shadows, wondering if he would find clues of his own father's time here. He used to live here, after all. He lost his mind here and talked to ghosts. There were spots where Exodus saw deep gashes in the wall made by claws and he wondered if those were from Devil...

But then a voice was in his ear and he spun around, his hackles already raised. But the moment he took in her smell, he knew who he was and he felt himself relaxing, a little anyway. His ears pricked forward and he let out his breath in a deep exhale, fixing Myrria with a raised brow as if to say "Really?" His tail swished behind him. "Myrria...I came looking for you. We need to talk." He took a moment to look around them, seeing nothing more than darkness except where the light was filtering through holes in the ceiling. He sighed and looked back at her. "The shadows aren't the things to be afraid of here. It's the memories that do the haunting."
