There was an edge to her actions, a bristling to her coat. Something felt significant that she was overlooked in these moments and despite her task at hand, it ebbed within her subconscious mind. Sekhmet paused misstep after all her Apep had yet to answer her call and doubted he would stalk her with their cooperation from their hunt together. Her lip raised slightly as she turned her head back the path she had walked allowing her teeth to clack together a fresh warning to the unseen beast that might be in the mist. Keeping her presence low was a priority, she had business to do a fight didn’t seem all that appealing right now. She knew the future called for her to be mindful in which battles she chose to take and yet it wasn't in her blood to decline. Still, she had little desire to wait longer than needed if she must heal from a brawl now.

Those opalescent eyes crossed over the shadows as pricked ears were honing to pinpoint movement; she was after all on edge. The dual colored brindle managed to catch her eye just barely but she had remembered the familiarity and the promise of spring. “Come little mouse.” She called to Kajika as she turned herself back towards the depths of the moors the rumble of her chest echoing out once more to Blackthorne and him alone. Setting the pace she expected Kajika to understand the fact she desired him to be close behind or beside her, the little mouse had just entered a den with a lioness and a cobra. The last thing she needed was the Apep to think him a spy. The woman didn’t favor the forest but placed no weight on her mouse to relay information that endangered his own life.

A sigh escaped her maw a slight glanced passed down at the boy before she spoke; “You found me Little Mouse. In a dangerous place. A delicate meeting. You are a liability here. Stay close and quiet. Apep may think you, spy.” While she wasn’t displeased he kept his word she was with his timing. The subject matter was sensitive and the Apep may not take kindly to the youth but he was small, certainly if he stayed close enough and minded his tongue the snake wouldn’t lash out at him and she could keep him fairly safe especially from keeping him getting ensnared in the moors foggy grasp where it seemed the snake liked to play. This was going to be an eventful experience once the mouse and the snake met in dance.
