Beltran let go backed up a few steps once she was solidly on land and not ice. He certainly wasn't going to hold on any longer than necessary, after all such a thing would be rude. Still, he was glad she was willing to accept his assistance, and he did his best to not do so in a manner that might make her feel worse about the situation.
The dark male offered a somewhat sheepish smile. For all her huffing and puffing, she didn't seem like a bad person. More like someone had molded her this way with how they treated her, which was a shame, she seemed like a nice enough wolf. Well, from afar, but appearances weren't everything.
