Fable, I sort of remember a vague thread between Midas/Sylvia/Macabre in the Ridge, some years ago. Where they had a weird "oh, hi. how are you?" random acquaintance. I sometimes use the memory as background for Macabre... I'll see if I can dig it up.

If it feels too weird/unnatural for Macabre to randomly join their journey, it is OK if you guys go on ahead. I don't want to force anything.
But after all these years, Midas is still someone Macabre thinks about often. She originally came to TLI for a fresh start after a traumatic flood wiped out her parents and herd. She was abused and used by horses along the way (mostly stallions) which made her quite fearful of others. She's changed quite a bit since then, but her hopes have always been to find a permanent home and start a family. She saw a glimmer in that in Midas, and then only again briefly with Vodnik. Now she has a healthy foal with a stallion she barely knows, in an effort in trying to take her future into her own hands. She lives in the Peak for reasons in this same vein -- to show she doesn't need a stallion to find safety and happiness, though her role in the Peak has always feel a little unnatural/forced to her. Seeing Midas again after all this time would be confusing, and would drum up a lot of feelings. She would be curious to see how Rowena interacts with him too. Perhaps bewildered by this collision of worlds.
