Re(1): Diet question shit for those who do IF

Three things: 1) you still need to moderate your calorie intake. Eat your first meal AFTER you train if you can and make it your biggest; 2) experiment with your window time. Very few people do #2. I found on days I didn't train, using a 6 hour window was better for fat loss than an 8 hour window. I'd eat lunch, have a snack mid afternoon, and then dinner; and 3) learn portion control regardless of what approach you are using. If I am training, I'll do a double portion for my first meal, but not the rest. If I am not training, then I use single portions. So in effect, I do #1 through #3.
