The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Anatola
FEMALE - NINE - LOVELESS – BOUND TO MITHOS - LONER (HEALER)

Ana was nearly elbow deep in water and muck, pulling out some cattails from as close to the water surface as she could without having to plunge her head into the water, or accidentally slip and fall. As she was doing so, her ears twitched slightly. Someone else seemed to be about, talking to themselves it seemed. The patchwork female paid it no mind. They were not troubling her and she not troubling them. Slowly, she took steps back, up rooting her prize and easing back fully to solid ground.

The healer was moving towards her satchel, pay no mind to the stranger as he rambled to himself, not realizing he was moving in her direction as she nosed open her leather carrier to put the cattails in. As Ana looked up, suddenly a bit startled herself as Zoryn jumped to the side. Her ears laid back instinctively, showing her fangs for a flash of a second. Not that she was capable of much in terms of a fight given she only had three legs. Still, she managed to survive and do well enough for herself.

When the apology game, she offered him a smile. "Seems we both weren't paying attention. But, everyone is fine, so no harm done," Ana said with a wave of her tail. She tilted her head slightly. "Are you alright? Most folks don't exactly get embarrassed for nearly running me over," Her tone was not accusing. More curious as her own ears perked up. The sound of the voice, this was definitely the one wandering about, and the only one wandering about at the moment aside from herself.
