The rain was coming down hard today at home. She had been traversing the lower trails of the mountain when the storm hit. Quickly, Dandelion found herself underneath an outcropping of stone to shelter herself from the torrential downpour. Her bright eyes watched it with wonder. She didn't mind the wet, but for a few minutes it had been coming down so hard she could barely see her nose in front of her face.

The small girl sat quietly, listening to the sound of the water falling onto the rocky surface. It was a rather calming, soothing sound. Dandelion realized she actually didn't mind it very much. The golden blonde yearling, though with her diminutive size she didn't quite look it, closed her eyes and began humming a tune to the drip drops of the rain. Eerily calming. The thought might have seemed strange to those who knew her, but even the ever moving needed to stop and smell the flowers, or in this case, the rain.

After a time, the rain slowed. She still wanted to climb the mountain! If Dandelion waited for it to stop, it was likely she'd not get very far, or even much further than where she was. So, she took a breath and took off at a run. Following trails here and there, the rain with its pit pattering on her fur and on the ground. She was good for a few minutes, then the wind howled and the rain came down harder again, almost stinging her face with the force of it. Now, she was searching for another temporary shelter from the elements. She would make it a good ways up the mountain today! Dandelion was sure of it.
