Bright greens are transfixed upon the small vine, watching in childlike wonder as it slowly crawls it's way towards his hand. Gently, the tendrils of ivy reach out and grip his fingertips, wrapping around then in a gentle hug. A smile plays at his lips, curling the corners upwards as they part to issue a gentle whisper of encouragement. Come on little guy, you can do it. The words are a husky breath of gentleness as he wills the plant onward, watching it grow and cling to him, crossing over his palm to wrap around his wrist.

The earth provided such awe inspiring beauty and Osiris knew that he would never tire of exploring everything it had to offer. After all, he was the embodiment of the earth itself. From his skin that seemed to be made of silty soil, his hair the branches of a willow tree, to his iridescent dragonfly wings wrapped in ivy. He had delved into the earth and all it had to offer with the passion of new lovers. He was sure his sisters had found it a bit odd that he had disappeared for a while to travel and see all he could, but he had wanted to get in touch with the different types of places the earth had to offer. From the dry desert sands to the lush forests of trees and plants, he had been everywhere he could get to. Finally, after a few years of travel, he had come home to settle down and open up his own small shop. A shop that centered upon the healing abilities of plants, an effort of his own to show the world just how important they could be to one's health and well being.

People probably thought he was insane to live in his small house surrounded by extravagant gardens filled with all sorts of plants from across the world and even worlds beyond their own. Osiris rather enjoyed it all though. It was home and he was happy in his environment. Happy to an extent as least.

He wished to be close to his family again if he was being honest. To be close to his sisters and share in their lives like they once did. More importanly, he wanted to one day meet the man who he could call father. He knew his name, knew they story of his birth and how he came to be. Now, he just wanted to know Mallos, himself. Dad, if you really are out there, it would be nice to meet you one day. He said to no one in particular, shaking his head, the ponytail of willow swaying with the movement.

He turned his attention back down to the ivy, noticing that it had stopped moving due to his thoughts being distracted from the main goal at hand. Sorry little guy, I guess I got...

HELP ME! Came the high pitched feminine screech, one that Osiris recognized all too well. The tendril of ivy fell from his arm as the spell was broken by the shrieks and the pitter patter of tiny feet upon the stone. A flash of tan and white jumped into his lap, burrowing itself into the front pouch of his hoodie. He waited for her burrowing to be complete before turning his eyes downward to see two large ears sticking out from the pocket, shaking like a leaf in the wind.

Neith. It was a single word, just her name, and with it came the rush of fear filled cries from the little fennec fox.

IT WAS SO SCARY! THE PLANT WAS GOING TO EAT ME. I ALMOST DIED. AND BEFORE YOU TELL ME I DIDN'T YOU WEREN'T EVEN THERE SO YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING, OSIRIS.

He held back the laugh, biting the inside of his cheek. His hand moved to gently tug one of the large ears before reaching into the pouch and lifting the small fox into his hands.

Let me guess. The plant that looks like it has a large mouth and teeth?

The fox nodded her head in vigor at his question, eyes frantic.

The plant that is only an inch or so in length? He couldn't help but let a small chuckle escape as he watched her eyes narrow into a glare. It ate an ENTIRE fly! It could eat me! Starting with my feet, then my tail, then my ears, ALL OF ME, OSIRIS.

Neith. It's a plant. A plant that eats bugs. It isn't going to eat a paranoid, scardy-cat fox. His chuckles were full laughs now as he held the little fox close to him, her struggles to get out of his hug only making him laugh even more.

YOU NEVER BELIEVE ME. THE ENTIRE WORLD IS A SCARY PLACE FULL OF SCARY THINGS. She huffed as she wiggled in his grasp. She stopped, as still as stone when she heard the front door of the shop open. When his grip on her had loosened, the little fox dove back for the safety of his hoodie pouch, burrowing into the softness.

Wuss. He stated playfully to his familiar before he stood up from his seat, his pocket bulging out from where she nestled inside. He turned his attention to the door and offered a wave of greeting. Welcome! How can I assist you, today?
