Re(2): Linked to another great Giants game as I begin to graph NFL "pennant races" Posted on January 20, 2018 at 09:51:00 PM by jsolo
Hi Bar. I have begun to put race graphs (game by game) of each season up. Only have a couple so far, but in the explanation I said something about how ties used to be thrown out and standings determined by only winning pct and lo and behold that's exactly what happened in 1963. Giants (10-3) played in the Stadium v Steelers (7-3-3). Last game of the season but actually a playoff for East Championship because if Steelers won 8-3 is a higher winning percentage than 10-4. Well we know what happened and I couldn't resist linking to full radio broadcast (Marty Glickman) and short video highlight.
Links to the game are near the top of the blog, before the 1933 entry.
