Re(1): Johnny Bench very impressive in NJAA debut

Former Puryear Park player from the late 80s and 90s returned to the court for the first time in over 15 years and played in his first recorded NJAA games Saturday.

After a few shaky games to start off with, Johnny Bench Jr. started to heat it up with some great catches and throws that even had players like Anthony impressed. Hopefully he will start playing more often but he needs a new basket.

A few notes on Johnny Bench, Jr. - he played on the Largo High School baseball team and was the catcher - yes catcher - just like the guy in the Hall of Fame. And who do you think was the center fielder on that team? No it wasn't Bobby Tolan - it was a guy by the name of Daniel Love! Yes the former triple crown winner Daniel!

And more side note - Johnny Bench sold the very first product of mine - the Clearwater Pool Purifier - in 1990 to a guy named James Brown (of Seminole)!
