She knew he was probably basing his judgement of her on the rest of Diveen so hopefully she wasn't setting a bad example for Orion to have to clean up but she could see him and Arturio getting along for the most part. Both seemed to want peace and harmony between the packs of Moladian so why not get it started with some friendly conversation? She knew Orion would have to make it official that Diveen and Asteraia become allies but she didn't see any problems stopping that from happening as things are now. Arturio seems to be a pretty decent guy in her opinion. He agreed that there was nothing wrong with deterring the bad types and she smirked, her eyes twinkling. "Unsavory to most wolves' taste, I would think. But to each their own. Wouldn't want to offend anyone, eh?" Her smirk widened just a little.
She did notice his strong opinion of Iromar and those in it. He seemed to already have a bone to pick with them and she was curious of the contents of this bone. He seemed pretty passive so they must have done something big to deserve his ire. She was still a great fan of whispers so if there was already trouble on the horizon she wanted to know about it for the sake of her pack and those close to her. When she questioned his goal for Asteraia, he wagged his tail as he mentioned having something to work toward. She nodded in agreement. "Anything's better than being aimless so I'll give you that. What's that saying? If you don't stand for anything then you'll fall for anything." She could see that he was actually thinking about what she said about the past. He didn't dismiss it so easily as others might. He seemed the type who would want to learn from the past.
When she gave him her opinion of peace and how to achieve it, she almost expected him to laugh or tell her that violence only breeds violence. Instead he told her it wasn't a bad way of thinking. She didn't know if that was just his passive way of saying she can think that way to dismiss the subject peacefully or if he truly thought that sometimes only shedding some blood can bring about the peace you're looking for. It seemed he only wanted to give vague answers on it for right now, but she knew she would get more to the bottom of his true feelings when she brought up Iromar and what made them so bad. She tilted her head, giving him her full attention as he gave her questions about a wolf who does some pretty crappy things. He wasn't full-on accusing the alpha of Iromar of these things but it was obvious by the new fire in his eyes that that's exactly what he thought the other wolf was doing.
She knew that a lot of Iromar wolves had chosen to go to other packs for refuge after the new alpha took over so it was easy to think that he might have kicked them to the curb to bring in his own regime, those he trusted. It was a good tactic for any new alpha but not the best way to keep peace. It made others think you have something to hide if you can't trust your new pack mates with the knowledge of who now rules them. She didn't know the alpha of Iromar even had an imprint, let alone how he would treat her so if this was true, then she could understand his frustrations. She searched his face a little, wondering if he knew the imprint personally. Maybe she was even one of his wolves here in Diveen. That would explain his strong protective instinct over her. Unless it was something even more than that....
So many possibilities and Zarah wanted to pry into all of them but she knew Orion would want facts, not gossip. Of course any wolf who preys on the weak is no better than the dirt between her toes but she kept her face neutral throughout his questions, taking it all in and thinking over it rather than rushing into showing emotion. Instead she blinked at him and offered a soft smile, one of those that encourages someone to open up a little because she was one of the good guys and wanted to help, however she could. "You know you will need proof so I hope you have some in play. The first shouldn't be hard to find. The wolves of Iromar had scattered. Some may have even come to Diveen so Orion would already know how they came to leave, whether it was by choice or force. Keep the imprint close because that could be your best weapon against him. Of course, I'm not saying to use her without her permission but if she truly doesn't want anything to do with him and sees the error of his ways then she would be your greatest ally.
"You will gain allies easily in the other packs if these things are true. I, myself, am a strong believer in defending the weak. It is one thing to hate his actions from afar. It takes a certain kind of wolf to do something about it. I would gladly stand by the wolf who takes action and have their back should anything threaten it." She let that sink in, her tail flicking behind her as she stood and shook out her coat. "Keep my name in mind if you ever need anything, Arturio. I look forward to working with Asteraia to keep the peace in Moladian." Her eyes glittered on the part about keeping the peace, sure that he would know from their discussion just how far she'd go to keep that peace. She waited to make sure there was nothing else he wanted to discuss and then she would get back to Diveen and Orion to report on her findings.
