Where once the southern border of Blossom Forest was made by Leisure Lake, the magical rearrangement of the lands has laid there instead a vast, uncrossable ocean. The shore differs as you travel along it. Tall mountainous cliffs arise on the western part and at one point, the large river that runs through Blossom Forest opens up at its tributary into a well sheltered cove. As you come more eastward, the towering peaks shorten into rocky foothills. A large section of the shore is inaccessible to most, as Uyaraut has claimed it as their own. But if you skirt around their territory, the hills disappear, swallowed up into the land until it is as flat as the eye can see. The vibrant greens dull into short and dry browns and tans, and the land dries and cracks apart until it melds into The Waste - the desert that forms Blossom Forestís easternmost border.

For those looking to hunt here, there are of course the fish within the ocean, along with crabs, seals and urchins. For on the shore, there are seagulls, herons, and ospreys.

Never Forget Who You Are

Waves slowly crashed over the bruteís form as he swam through the waters. The ocean was calm today, but he was deep enough that the waves still moved his form up and down, some of them even coming over him. His limbs were well muscled from year of training, and it was easy for his to kick through the water and propel himself wherever he wanted to go. The sun had warmed him up enough that the swim was cool and relaxing, rather than cold as it would have been not too long ago. Grey Wind was lost in thought as he aimlessly swam around, enjoying the work out that was simultaneously cooling him down. The new father was still getting used to the new responsibilities he had, and the new relationship he was going to have with his mate who was a newly turned vampire. Their lives had changed so much in just one night, and sometimes the brute felt overwhelmed and needed to just get away for a little while and clear his head.

The male was too lost in thought to notice that he kept swimming through areas where the sun seemed to reflect more off the water than other areas. The light was shining and sparkling more so in some areas, where the magic happened to be strong and alive, but Grey Wind took no notice of this as his large frame moved through the water. As much as he enjoyed swimming, he knew that he needed to head back to his family. He didnít want to leave them for too long, and the longer he was gone the more worried he would become. The male trusted his mate and knew that she was more than capable of taking care of herself, but he still was not sure what immediate changes she would experience after she turned. And he didnít want to leave her and the pups if she was vulnerable at all. As the male swam back to shore, he noticed a weird feeling in his limbs. He thought at first that it was just because he had been swimming for a while after a few months without working out those muscles and didnít think much of it. He figured he might be a bit sore for a while, but that was what came with working out certain muscles and it was not new to him.

As Grey Wind grew closer to shore, the weird feeling in his limbs intensified, becoming painful as he finally felt the sand under his paws. Panting a bit, realizing that he may have overestimated how much he could handle, he pushed himself to shore, hoping that that would help the pain in his limbs lessen. He started walking in the direction to go back home, trying to ignore the pain in his limbs as he did so. But then a weird shimmering caught his eye, and he glanced down at his limbs. Something was very wrong. Normally his legs were a mixture of dark and light greys, just like the rest of his form, but now they were much lighter, a creamy whitish color. Stopping in his tracks immediately, he began to see what was wrong. Touching one paw to the other stilt, he quickly pulled away. There was no longer fur like he always had had, but it was hard and scale like, almost like a snake. No, not almostÖexactly like a snake. What the hell was going on and why did he have these stupid and bizarre looking markings now? Grey Wind had never been a vain wolf before, but now he just looked weird. He had always liked his grey pelt, but the interruption with these stupid and ugly scales was not something he was okay with. He tried to scrape them off, but it just caused him more pain and he let out a growl of annoyance. Confused by how the scales came to be where his pelt once was, he kept walking, slowly at first. The pain was ebbing away and soon he felt normal again. He hoped that they disappeared and that he either temporarily lost his sanity, or that this was all a dream. But for now the weird scales were on himÖand he would have to deal with it. He would have no explanation for this to Macaria, but she herself had recently changed. It seemed that their family was in for more changes than originally anticipated.
