Adrian was patient. She did not doubt she had been heard, though she had no idea by who. Her dark grey fur moved with a stray breeze. The open air seemed a nice enough place for someone built like her, but it felt oddly out of place. Perhaps she should have gone to Taviora with Pine, keep watch over the pups who were safe. A soft sigh escaped her as she settled to her haunches while she waited.
Her teal eyes scanned the horizon, which she could see for quite a distance. Few trees, little cover. It was almost unnerving for the girl who'd spent her whole life in the moors and the areas surrounding it. It wasn't long before Jinx came into her line of sight. She was quick to rise to her paws as the older female approached. Though when she face planted, Adrian instinctively took a few steps forward, prepared to help. But it seemed Jinx had righted herself rather quickly, so there was no actual need for her assistance.
Adrian's tail waved slightly at the introduction, dipping her head politely. This wasn't the King of Asteraia, obviously, but at least that helped her avoid the man without it seeming suspicious. "Nice to meet you, Jinx. I'm Aidan," It was the beginnings of a lie. The name was similar to her own and would have been the one given to her stillborn brother, but she felt no desire to be found out. At least a false name would alleviate some of that. It was one she was comfortable enough using to help facilitate what she was doing.
"I was hoping you could tell me a bit about Asteraia and its new King. I know he offered refuge, but how genuine is it? Is this really a safe place I can convince my family to come to?" There was genuine concern there. After all, she knew Mother, Beltran, Indigo, and every other member of the family she knew had left Iromar. Adrian could easily have simply been the boldest of them, trying to find a place for them to stay before Blackthorne was dealt with.
