His father didn’t seem bothered by having to tell his mother at some point what was going on. Asriel watches him shrug though after the dark pelted boy continued his father seemed to give a grin. It was proof then, his father seemed to hide what was inside of him most the time. Maybe that also meant that Asriel was more like him than he thought, but he wasn’t sure either. His father spoke then in latin and Asriel, while he knew some from his father wasn’t the greatest at it. Nahuatl had really been what was driven into him by his mother’s side, and he knew how useless it would be everywhere but in the forest. Latin, he knew it was more widely spoken across Moladion but he certainly knew enough of it to understand what his father was saying. So it was true, perhaps he was like his father, amorphous in personality in a way, or in his father’s case, secretive about who he really was.
”I feel the same way about me. I don’t think anyone knows me anymore. Maybe we will get to know about each other now that we live together.” Asriel admitted speaking his much more comfortable english than the latin he was a little more sparse in. It was double edged though, Asriel wasn’t going to open up so easily, not when he felt like there was something inside of him he shouldn't have. Maybe though he could be useful to his father, he could do things maybe that were not common in his own lands. Based on Matianak, it seemed more than a few of his members were a bit more guarded, it was certainly a different place to Taviora, and Asriel felt that he would be left to the space he wanted here with much more ease.
Asriel's copper eyes kept set on his father’s own, his form still as he mentioned siblings. Asriel would miss Shem, perhaps Shem would have been the only one he opened up to in Taviora, but they had Siblings here too, and it certainly seemed easier already to do what he needed to do. ”They might be a way for me to get to know you even more. As well as your history.” Asriel prodded boldly. Curious to see what his father would think of him collecting such information in a manner on his father. Doing it the other way for Asriel though was not nearly as effective, but then again his father already said few truly knew him, but Asriel might be able to gather those pieces to the puzzle as well as find his own answers.
The grey wolf turned his own question around on him though, Asriel would have to keep that in mind. There seemed no specific area to where Asriel was needed currently, or if there was, his father was giving him all the options to pursue them. ”I think diplomacy, or information gathering would be best. I’m sure i could be a good fighter… or a healer like mother, but you can’t learn anything cooped up in a single place. Being a healer or a warrior would keep me in ignorance, and I had enough of that.” While it might have given his father a bit more on him, what he wanted and desired he felt there is still room for more. Asriel wanted answers about a lot of things after all, and he wasn’t going to be kept from them any longer.
