Bench press issues, need advice

Hello friends,

I have an issue with my bench press in that I seem to be stuck lowering the bar super super slow when it gets heavier because of pain etc in my forearm and biceps. The pressing part is fine but I just can't seem to convince my body to lower the bar controlled and faster than a snail. I feel like it's taking tremendous lbs off my press. It's not an awful pain but its enough to stop me in my tracks nearly.

Anyone have any clue to what ails me? Tendonitis maybe?
