Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Since Iromar had been taken over and the pack scattered to the wind, Magpie had been anxious and uncomfortable. She’d just accepted that she’d had a home in Iromar and to have that ripped from her in the course of an afternoon was a bit difficult to process. Despite her natural inclination to fuss over and love those around her, she’d learned not to get attach or expect too much. Since arriving at Iromar those tendencies had begun to fade only to reassert themselves when she found herself a stranger in Taviora.

Her only consolation was that she had Zanon, and now Lefteris to keep her from feeling totally cast adrift in the world. Somehow in the course of several months she’d managed to not only be freed from her admittedly wretched family, but also forge for herself a new one. She had no idea what she was doing or exactly what she was to either Zanon or Lefteris but she knew that both of them were quickly becoming vital to her happiness. This of course meant that regardless of what either of them ended up being to her, their happiness was quite high on her list of concerns.

With that in mind, when Zanon mentioned that he was going to seek out potential new places for them to relocate, Magpie insisted on going with him. She had a moment’s hesitation about leave Lefteris behind, but Taviora was safe enough and they would only be gone a short while. With her long legs, it was easy enough to keep up with the darker wolf, pale eyes darting from side to side and large ears twitching as though she expected someone or something to jump out at them. She wasn’t even remotely trained but she could be scrappy if she needed to; granted her personal history suggested she was better at taking a hit than giving one.

”Do you think Spirane would be a good home? Lefteris did almost drown there.” Mags frowned as she remembered exactly how she’d met what she now knew to be her imprint; her destined match. He was peculiar but sweet and certainly she was in no position to argue with the fates. ”I suppose we could teach him to swim.”
