Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I’m a sucker for pain! Enoch

It was a bit of surprise when Enoch came to get me in the early morning hours. I roused from my slumber with my tail to my nose. Blinking wearily I look up at him sleepily, bottle-nose tail slapping me in the face as I wag it at the sight of him. There is a feeling of wholesomeness around him. He had told me that he wouldn't let anyone hurt me and for that, I was indebted to him. The ache for Zharko was always there but I wasn't a tracker and to be truthful, I feared finding him lest I find that boy again. HIM, as we liked to refer to him as.

The events of the seasons were lost on me because I didn't care to listen to howls that weren't my brothers. I merely survived. I lived off whatever I could scrounge and hunt, growing a bit leaner but also a bit sharper each day. The mole I had killed the day before had been too obvious as it pushed the upper soil around. It didn't take much skill to dig it up but it did take some grimacing to swallow it down. It tasted like dirt and worms but food was food. The berries I had begun to like were nearby from my nestled position in the roots of a tree and when Enoch nudges me in the direction of Glorall I stop by them to nibble a few off.

To me, he isn't here to push me to go anywhere, but as we get closer to the seaside pack I grow restless. I look at him, ears back and figure curled in as I skitter alongside him. "I don't want to go back there," I say with a whine in my voice, fear in my eyes and in the way my tail tucks between my legs. I bolstered my courage by brushing along his side because what I really need is assurance once more.
