Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Tuari
I’ll Fight Until I am the last Arrow on the Battlefield

She knew it wasn’t the best time to be away, but if felt like ages since she had time for just her and Dexter to get out and be alone. Kids did that to their parents after all. They were getting big fast though, and Tuari couldn’t help but take the chance to just be free for the day. That and she could see the growing tension in him. It had been a while since he had time to himself and she in a way knew what that meant. She didn’t know it itched at him so, that he really wanted to kill those out there that did other wolves harm and killed themselves, but she knew it was something he did and enjoyed to a degree. All of it was getting more and more difficult out here too. These weren’t the safest of times… Ever since Aranck it has seemed there has been one thing after another happening to Moladion. Cannibals had started appearing in the lands again and other killers too. The Monster of Asteraia had kept them in control and now it felt like they were all leaking out and being turned loose again in full force with the recent changes in Iromar…

It didn’t sound good, but Tuari did not worry about Taviora being unsafe for her daughters, and she and Dexter she was certain were more than capable of protecting themselves out here if someone were to try and fight them. Perhaps that was why she was so carefree as she bounded towards the river, taking in all the scents and the time she had with her mate. Her mate. It still seemed surreal to her that Dexter was hers and she was his. Her heart sometimes still fluttered at the thought, she never thought after Levi left that she could be this happy again. There was no hunting today though, unless hunting for fun was a thing. She was just curious of all the comings and goings of prey and other wolf kin alike. Though soon she found out she was the target of a very vicious predator herself.

She felt his weight land right on top of her and she fell to the ground and rolled and squirmed under him, nipping at his legs, cheeks and neck, basically anything she could get at while trying to escape from her would be attacker. She was a pretty tough girl, and soon she was weasling her way out from under him and rolling slightly across the ground. The sound of the river was filling her ears and she figured their game of cat and mouse was far from over. Giving a few challenging slams of her paws on the ground in a serious of play bows, now aware that she was indeed being hunted she was prancing off to the nearby river.

It had been ages since she had been here, but they were just as she remembered. The pebble covered bank sloped down to the river and a few points there was a drop off. She stood at the bank, wriggling about, waiting for him to come, then she would plan her own counter attack.
