Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Just as she’d expected it might, her small display of deference soothed the raging beast just enough so that he would not strike. Though as she turned her head back to look at him, she noted the way his fur still stood on end and the tension the still gripped him. Perhaps there was something wrong with her, but since she’d been very young, seeing barely controlled rage in others had sent excitement coursing through her. She didn’t particularly care to analyze it, at least not now, but as the Darkbringer settled and no longer seemed likely to pounce, Gaz offered her coy little smirk in response to his own.

She might enjoy instigating rage in others and directing it as she willed, but she certainly wouldn’t welcome teeth tearing at her own flesh. Her beauty was a weapon she guarded zealously. It allowed her to beguile and confuse. It would not do to have that weapon tarnish or break. This was why she’d become so adept at manipulating others to do her bidding. Besides, it was far more entertaining to watch others fight than to fight a battle that might maim you.

”I always come back to the darkness, my dear...Darkbringer.” Gazmala’s voice was low and smooth, a match to his own silky purr. His look did not go unnoticed and as his silvered eyes trailed over her Gaz smirked and took half a step forward so that she was nearly standing directly under his chin. Turning toward Iromar, she slide past him without actually touching him and lifted her black tipped tail proudly as she glanced back over her shoulder with a grin. Yes, she sought the darkness; she lived in the darkness and now the darkness had found a place to call its own. She would not miss out on this for anything in the world.
