Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

She giggled at his comment regarding the small ones but her mind was momentarily haunted by the grizzly image of the small children her father had taken her to in her own childhood; they had been small, unlike his usual playing partners. They had been so small and loud unlike the larger, silent partner that she and her siblings had shared their den with - at least, until the smell had become too much for her own mother and father to stand. Draygo reminded Eto of her own father or perhaps one of her brothers. It was strange. It made her head tilt. It had been a long time since she had been given any reason to think too long about either of them. She lamented but it was brief - what Draygo was doing was, for now at least, more fascinating.

As he spoke, she tilted forward to watch the way he moved about the fawn, the way he dug his teeth in so precisely. Perhaps she ought to have been made uncomfortable by the gurgling, desperate breath that broke from the fawn but instead, she simply watched with mild interest before she giggled again. "You're funny!" She perked up suddenly, sat straight with her eyes full of awe as she grinned, toothy and wide. "I didn't know others played like this! Papa always said it was his special way." And so she had barely imagined anybody but him had reveled the same way. She pouted briefly at the thought of him but shook her head in order to dislodge the thought like a thorn.

She flopped then, onto her stomach with a puppy-like joy as she shuffled forward several inches. She reached out to sniff the kill, her eyes meeting Draygo's own for a moment as if to ask for permission. "Can I try?" Her tail flopped behind her, nervous and happy, as she battled inside to decide which side the coin would land on.
