A task for Craig G: Game point 'genome'-ics Posted on February 12, 2018 at 07:47:01 AM by Tiger
(gotta butter you up first, but I really think you and your big toolbag are best qualified for this)
We're covering this issue pretty well, i.e., if every point is a tossup, how come servers win a large majority of the game points? And yes, it's all in the semantics. Well, the rotation has something to do with it, too ... lol
So, for every possible game point that can occur, in what percentage of occurrences will it be that:
A. Only the server
B. Only the receiver
C. Both server and receiver
is/are at game point?
(Spectacular-7, all equal, no server advantage)
Though not a handicapping consideration, per se, it's a good example of 'thinking outside the box' which can help anyone to become a better handicapper by providing a more visceral feel for the game.
