I wouldn’t lie I was… frustrated to say the least that I was back at the bottom again. It felt like I had just gotten started on getting Arturio’s trust when I was tossed back down to the ground again only left to climb the mountain that was Asteraia’s hierarchy. I get it, not everyone can trust me right off, though really I do have the personal interests of the success of this land at heart, regardless of who ruled it. I had gone all the way to Diveen, talked with its higher ups then returned with news I thought he would be pleased to hear only to soon find my efforts had been wasted. Well not completely wasted. I try to tell myself. I acquainted myself with Kalseru, Queen of Spirane, and her sister, Nymeria, who also held ranking there. Good bonds to form I believe but I am not sure where that will get me now. I am not sure who this wolfess is, but I heard some mention that she was a wolfess that lived here during my grandmother’s rule. It got me curious, and I wondered exactly what she had planned to do with this land now that she had it in her grasp.
I didn’t wait like I had with Arturio. I was starting to believe these lands were cursed to be passed paw to paw as fast as it had gone from Halcyon and Aster, to Arturio, to the Pharaoh that now ruled here. Too quickly, with too many other changes happening outside of Asteraia as well. Moladion had grown unstable, such was the nature of things being in the whims of others, yet right now I was concerned with how long she would be here. Nonetheless, I wished her all the success in the world, and wanted to prevent her fall if I could. Which was why I was where I was now.
My paws carried me quickly over the lands I am, by now very familiar with. I had heard that a wolf had stolen from Taviora and my brows had knitted at the thought. Taviora was my old home after all, and I knew Zelda quite well. I wasn’t exactly wanting to be on the receiving end of any ire that she might cast our way. That would be what I hoped to quell first. Zelda was a peace monger really. If we didn’t bother her, she wouldn’t bother us. She liked allies and would be easy for me to win over if given the chance. What I didn’t know though was before her complete take over that Taviora had also taken something precious from my new Alphess. Soon I spot the rather hulking form of the new ruler.
”Lady Pharaoh.” I call to her lightly, my blue and red eyes setting upon her form, my look dignified, hardened even as I went. Perhaps it was an omen… I didn’t fall, trip or have anything else bad happen to me… yet… I reminded myself, as I came to a halt once I was sure she had noticed me. ”Lady Pharaoh, I have been wanting to meet with you one on one for a little while. My name is Jinx, my grandmother was the Monster that ruled these lands for some time, thus I am quite loyal and wish for nothing but its success and want to help you achieve what I can in doing that.” I start, getting right to the heart of the matter. I am not sure what will happen, but nothing would if I did nothing and doing nothing wasn’t exactly in my list of things I could do.
