Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

a beautiful mess

It did not really occur to me that Matianak might be twisting words or adding emphasis on things that were not quite true. Even the last admission to having a way with words does not push me into that realm of thought. I am naive enough to ignore such things, having been safely ensconced within the borders of Glorall for the vast majority of my life. My intentions to travel always seemed like wishes and dreams because I quite liked my rhythm and routine. Messing it up was... well, difficult to do. Maybe I had gotten TOO stuck on it though after having noted the way Triton grew defensive but he forgave me and I smiled brilliantly at him. My heart ached for him, his vibrant need for attention and desire for adventure. I craved the feeling of nurturing the young and it occurred to me that I was well into the years in which pups would be a simple affair.

A happy one.

I imagine little silver and white pups and for a moment I am distracted while Matianak charms Triton right beneath my nose. I catch the wink and grin at her in a silent sort of companionship, at ease that she seems so taken with Triton. Maybe after today my nephew wouldn't feel so lonely here. "You will do good at anything you want, Triton. Your dad always has been and you are just as good as him." There will always be a soft spot in my heart for my littermate. We had endured puphood together and it was only because of Thor that I became who I was now. Sometimes I missed those days.

"I agree," I quip after Triton compliments Matianak. "I've heard troubling rumors of other packs and it would be good to have someone who could help navigate such things. I don't want any of the bad finding it's way here." There is actual concern in my voice, a look of worry on my face as I work my jaw slightly at the thought of darkness and evil spreading into Glorall.
